The Calaveras County RCD has made it part of our mission to collaborate with local landowners and businesses to foster environmental stewardship and successfully implement ecological restoration projects. By engaging stakeholders in conservation efforts, communities can create mutually beneficial solutions that enhance both economic and environmental well-being. In partnership with other land management agencies in Calaveras County, the CCRCD is working to provide incentives, resources, and education on sustainable land management to encourage responsible practices such as reforestation, wetland restoration, and invasive species control on private lands. These partnerships help build a sense of shared responsibility, ensuring long-term ecological health while also strengthening local economies and community resilience.
