Calaveras County RCD is contracted with the NRCS (USDA) to help provide capacity for NRCS programs in Calaveras County and nearby counties.  The RCD currently has an Archaeologist who assists with surveys for landowners with an active NRCS contract.  A Resource Technician is also on boarded with NRCS and is currently completing training to become a planner that can assist landowners with applications to NRCS programs.  Increasing the capacity of the local NRCS office will help expedite and streamline applications for our local producers.
