The Calaveras County Resource Conservation District (CC-RCD) invites the community to our next Conservation Saturday Series event, “Waterways & Water Health of Calaveras County,” on Saturday, October 18th at the San Andreas Central Library from 10am to 1pm.

This interactive event will highlight the importance of Calaveras County’s rivers, creeks, and reservoirs, and the role they play in sustaining our local communities, agriculture, and wildlife. Attendees will have the chance to explore educational displays and take part in hands-on activities designed for all ages.

Topics will include:

●       The Calaveras River: an Underserved Watershed

●       Meadow and Stream Restoration

●       Aquatic Plants and Animals of Calaveras County

●       Water Conservation on Rangelands

●       Water Quality and Quantity Issues facing Calaveras County

Families are encouraged to attend—children’s activities such as hands on watershed models will make learning fun and engaging.
